Air springs in a new outfit

Angst+Pfister stocks SLM air springs in eight different sizes. Angst+Pfister now offers these in a new, improved quality under its own APSOvib® range of SLM air springs. Special APSOvib® air springs with an integrated viscous damper can also be supplied.

Angst+Pfister stocks SLM air springs in eight different sizes for active or passive mounting of machinery and equipment subject to low-frequency parasitic vibration and shocks. Angst+Pfister now offers these in a new, improved quality under its own APSOvib® range of SLM air springs. The air springs consist of top and bottom metal plates that bookend an elastic air spring bellows made of chlorobutadiene elastomer (CR), which makes these spring elements largely resistant to oil and aging. The air springs require no maintenance aside from regularly checking the pressure, as you would for automobile tires. The static load capacity ranges from 20 kg to 10,000 kg per air spring depending on the type, with natural frequencies of 3 Hz. The height of the pneumatic springs can be regulated by varying the air pressure in the elastomer part within a range of ± 6 mm. This enables the springs to be used also as leveling elements. APSOvib® air springs can be employed as simple insulating elements or even as complete systems with air pressure and level control. Special versions with an integrated viscous damper can also be supplied. Typical application areas for these air springs include measuring devices, measuring tables, foundations, presses, automated punch presses, nibbling machines, compressors and ventilators. The Angst+Pfister specialists will gladly provide you with information on how APSOvib® air springs can be employed in specific applications.
