Innovative elastomers determine the future of sealing technology. Angst+Pfister is the driving force when it comes to the development of new elastomer materials.
All our formulations are designed to not only meet the given specifications and standards, but also all specific transformation needs of our customers in order to achieve the optimal balance between quality and moldability. Angst+Pfister is able to offer a wide range of compounds from standard materials like NBR, HNBR, EPDM, CR to high-performance compounds of the highest quality like VMQ, FVMQ, FKM or FFKM. Our chemists and engineers work closely with the customers to select or develop the right compound to meet the application requirements of the final product, and can advise them on vulcanization and mould flow for the best technical and commercial service.
Approvals and Conformities – we know our way around
Many of our compounds are specifically designed for certain industries to meet their specific needs. We are especially versed when it comes to compounds in the food and beverage industry, where we offer all the required approvals and conformities such as EC 1935/2004, GB 4806.11, French Arreté, D.M. 21/03/1973, BfR, 3-A Sanitary, FDA or Mercosur (GMC 28/99). In the food sector, PAH category 1 (according to AfPS GS 2014:01), which requires a reduction of carcinogenic substances, is becoming increasingly important as well.
In the pharmaceutical and MedTech industry, Angst+Pfister offers rubber compounds that comply with FDA regulations, but also have USP approval.
In the drinking water sector, the demands on elastomer materials are also particularly high, and here too, almost every country has defined its own testing and approval criteria. In France this is the ACS, in Germany the W 270 and the UBA (elastomer guideline), in the Netherlands the KIWA, in England the WRAS or in the USA the NSF 61. Many Angst+Pfister materials have the majority of the most important national drinking water approvals.
Furthermore we design materials for the oil & gas or the chemical industry, where high temperatures play a major role, where broad chemical resistance is required, and where good behavior in explosive decompression needs to be shown.
Production – state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities
In our modern mixing plant we have fully automated dosing systems for the required mixture components and chemicals with an integrated automatic weighing system. Organic and inorganic mixtures are mixed and rolled on separate production lines to ensure consistently high quality.
