O-rings made of high-performance materials
O-rings from our high-performance range meet the highest demands of sealing performance and are characterised by exceptional chemical and thermal resistance.
Kalrez® perfluoro elastomers (FFKM)
Where conventional materials fail, Kalrez® perfluoro elastomers (FFKM) represent the most cost-effective and reliable solution in the long-term with regards to total cost. They have a unique application behaviour not matched by any other elastomer material! Kalrez® synthetic rubber in the various compounds combines the elasticity and sealing force of a genuine elastomer with the chemical resistance of PTFE.
Kalrez® O-rings are resistant to almost all chemicals and can be used at temperatures of +350°C for short periods or +327°C in continuous operation. They are also available with FDA or USP VI approvals. As an authorized distributor of DuPont Performance Polymers, Angst+Pfister has a wide range of Kalrez® O-rings and has direct access to special dimensions.
Kalrez® O-rings (FFKM) are mainly used in the process industry, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, semiconductor technology and in the oil and gas industry.

PERTEC® – O-rings made of high-performance elastomers
Our PERTEC® O-rings are made from high-performance materials suitable for specific, particularly challenging industries and shine with properties such as high media resistance and numerous approvals.
The demands on high-performance materials for applications in various industries are becoming increasingly challenging. While the vacuum industry requires materials with low permeability and very good abrasion resistance, and the drilling oil industry high tensile strength and hardness, in the electronics industry low metal ion release is essential.
Our PERTEC® O-rings are also perfectly suited for use in CIP systems (Cleaning in Place) and SIP systems (Sterilization in Place), where a very high level of hygiene is essential for the application, as well as in the food, pharmaceutical, medical and chemical industries.
Materials of the PERTEC® family are characterized by an above-average performance in terms of friction behavior, are extremely resistant to chemicals and steam, and have many approvals for almost all core industries. In order to stay competitive, we continuously adapt the product range to the latest technologies and challenges.
FEP-O-SEAL® O-rings
The FEP-O-SEAL® seals ideally combine the elastic characteristics of elastomer O-rings and the chemical resistance of FEP or PFA. FEP-O-SEAL® O-rings consist of two components: a seamless covering of FEP or PFA (1) and an elastomer core (2) that guarantees dimensional stability.
There are numerous applications where the use of traditional elastomers causes failure. Aggressive chemicals or extreme temperatures can destroy conventional elastomer O-rings which can ultimately lead to leakage. FEP-O-SEAL® O-rings are therefore used in a wide variety of applications in many industry sectors, but in particular, where ordinary elastomers fail due to these aggressive fluids, like the chemical industry, petrochemical industry, foodstuffs industry, pharmaceuticals, mechanical seals and filtration industries.
FEP-O-SEAL® O-rings are pressure resistant and guarantee a deep compression set with much lower cold flow compared to PTFE.
For static sealing points, such as flange connections in chemical apparatus engineering, non-elastic PTFE O-rings are the first choice when it comes to universal, robust sealing against aggressive liquids. Media with temperatures from -270 to +980°C and at pressures of high vacuum up to 6800 bar can only be sealed perfectly with metal seals (O-rings and C-rings) – if necessary, with coating.
Our FEP encapsulated O-rings are available from stock with a core of VMQ or FKM. Further possibilities are available with a hollow core in the case of the elastomer and a spiral spring for extreme low temperatures.
HITEC® Precision O-rings
The HITEC® brand stands for O-rings that meet very high standards or fulfil approval and conformity requirements in the drinking water, pharmaceutical, food and gas sectors. HITEC® O-rings are only manufactured in one defined factory and all materials have a clearly defined formulation.
NORMATEC® O-rings
The NORMATEC® O-ring range comprises O-rings of good industrial quality that meet standard requirements. As quality sealing elements, NORMATEC® O-rings are specially designed for high-volume applications: An efficient network of modern and rationally producing manufacturers in Europe and Asia results in a very good price/performance ratio. Depending on the quality and required dimensions, several manufacturers are approved to produce NORMATEC® O-rings according to Angst+Pfister's product specifications.
Precision O-rings
Special procurements or modifications based on the various qualities of the standard range open up the possibility of offering individual, project-related solutions with precision O-rings: Angst+Pfister has access to a large mould tool park that allows us to deliver even unusual dimensions on time. If required, Angst+Pfister will procure special materials or materials developed specifically for the customer.
Surface finishes serve to facilitate assembly or enable the (partially) dynamic use of O-rings that are generally used statically. To reduce friction or improve separation, surface coatings or treatments can be considered. In addition, O-rings can be coated with PTFE in all colours for clear identification of the materials during assembly.
Other special O-rings:
• End vulcanized round cord rings – available in any dimension at short notice
• XL O-rings – in large dimensions with a very high-quality standard regarding surface finish and tolerances
• X-rings – four-lip seal as an alternative to O-rings
• Back-up rings – prevent the O-ring from entering the sealing gap
