How and why did you join Angst+Pfister?
I joined Angst+Pfister as a Product Application Engineer in June 2018. Having a PhD in mechanical engineering, this was truly stepping out of my comfort zone by adding a commercial aspect to my working life. I ended up loving every part of this job which was technically challenging while providing project management and customer interaction as well.
Since October 2019, I am the Head of Drive Technology. I am now in charge of the business development of one of the product categories of our company and have the opportunity to work with talented and enthusiastic colleagues across different countries. We have a common goal: to provide a complete engineering support to our customers through innovative and customized solutions.
What do you enjoy about your work?
What I enjoy the most in my job is the diversity of my responsibilities, and of the challenges I am facing. I have the chance to be in contact with customers from various industry segments, having their own need, and it is my job to make sure that they get the right solution. At the same time, in order to achieve this level of performance, I work closely with many colleagues from different work functions, from whom I am constantly learning.
I am also surrounded by truly inspiring leaders which allows me to grow professionally in a motivating and caring environment.

How and why did you join Angst+Pfister?
In 2018, I was looking for an apprenticeship and then came across Angst+Pfister. The size of the company, organization, the different departments and the educational benefits convinced me. In addition, Angst+Pfister has a lot of young people, so you always have like-minded people with whom you could exchange ideas. The first step in the business world was therefore very positive.
What do you enjoy about your work?
As an employee, you are given great trust and responsibility. Every day you are in contact with new people from different countries and cultures and you face new challenges that you master together. We appreciate the open communication and the family-like team spirit.
What do you like about Angst+Pfister?
I like the global networking of our international colleagues, customers and suppliers and in how many areas our products are used and installed and its importance and necessity.
What do you recommend to joiners?
Be open to new challenges and tasks, bring your own positive qualities to the team and to the work, be hungry for new knowledge.
What is the most fascinating aspect of your work?
As an import/export specialist, I work in our global logistics center and enjoy the variety between the office and the daily warehouse routine. We are in direct contact with the packaging colleagues in the Logistics and prepare the shipments for the transport so that our customers receive the ordered material as quickly as possible. In our logistics warehouse you can track the ordered product from our supplier when it arrives until the shipment leaves for transport to the customer. It’s exciting how many people are involved and on what factors it depends until our customers receive their goods.
